Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with Zarco Guerrero - video

Check out this YouTube video where Zarco Guerrero explains the significance, and the use of masks in this colorful Mexican tradition that honors and celebrates departed loved ones in a festival setting:
Celebrated every November in the Phoenix area, this year Zarco will be appearing Sunday, 1 November, 2009 at the Desert Botanical Garden (http://www.dbg.org) for two days of fabulous entertainment and exhibits. On Sunday at 4:30 PM, La Procesiòn, which reflects the ancient indigenous tradition of a community, march to ancestral burial sites in order to honor those who have gone before us.
On Saturday, 7 November, 2009, in collaboration with Xico Inc. (http://www.xicoinc.com) who developed the original Dìa de los Muertos festival in the Valley of the Sun. The festival showcases performing artists and is best known for its one-of-a-kind masked performances using the masks of Zarco Guerrero. This festival traditionally is held each year on the first weekend in November in downtown Chandler.
